Families are left in the dark, artisans can't grow their businesses, and students are limited in their learning after sundown. However, new hope is emerging with the Tujenge initiative, which aims to transform the lives of Beni's inhabitants by providing affordable, sustainable energy solutions.
Beni is growing fast, but the energy infrastructure is struggling to keep up. Many homes have no access to electricity, and those that do suffer frequent power cuts. This lack of access to a reliable energy source has a direct impact on the quality of life of the inhabitants. Children can't study after dark, contractors are restricted in their working hours, and health facilities struggle to function without stable electricity.
In response to this critical situation, GoShop Energy has launched the Tujenge Campaign. This project revolves around the introduction of SunKing solar kits, specifically designed to meet the energy needs of households and small businesses. The kits include solar panels, lanterns and mobile chargers, offering flexible and affordable solutions for everyday energy needs.
Since the launch of Tujenge, the results are already visible. Beni's artisans can now extend their working hours, enabling them to generate more income.
